The iced lock

A Miami Cuban is a chain of interlocking links that lie flat in a single plane rather than twisting as they move. On the wrist it behaves less like a chain and more like a band, holding its face upward instead of rolling over. The links here are smooth, domed and mirror-polished, with no pavé and no set stones anywhere along the run.

All the detail sits at the closure. The box clasp is a compact rectangular block, its face covered in neat rows of small pavé cubic zirconia, with slim side latches that fold over as a second point of security. Worn with the clasp turned to the top of the wrist it becomes the focal point; turned underneath, the bracelet reads as plain polished steel. That is two quite different pieces from one bracelet.

Length and how it wears

Stainless steel is the reason this one is easy to live in. It is light for its size, it shrugs off water and daily knocks, and it keeps its polish without any real effort. The flat plane of a Cuban link means it sits alongside a watch case rather than riding over it.

Measure your wrist and add about half an inch. The 7 inch sits close on most wrists; the 8 inch gives a looser drape, fits a larger wrist, and is the better choice if you wear a watch on the same arm.
