Necklaces

Pendants and chains, from fine everyday pieces to chains built to be seen.

The moissanite side covers cross pendants and floating solitaires on 925 sterling silver, sized to sit at the collarbone and layer without tangling. The chain side runs Miami Cuban links from 8 mm to 20 mm, plain polished or fully iced with cubic zirconia, in 20, 22 and 24 inch lengths. Each product page states the stone and the base metal.

About this collection

Moissanite pendants, tennis necklaces and Cuban chains

Pendants and chains, from fine everyday pieces to chains built to be seen. The moissanite pieces sit first; the cubic zirconia and stainless steel pieces are clearly labelled and follow. Everything ships from Ontario.

Moissanite pendants

Two cross pendants in VVS1 moissanite on 925 sterling silver — one in a smaller everyday size on an adjustable 16 to 18 inch chain, one larger on a 20 inch chain — and the floating solitaire, a single round moissanite that appears to hang unsupported at the collarbone, in 6.5, 7 or 8 mm. All three ship with a GRA certificate for the stone and layer cleanly under a longer chain.

Tennis necklaces and Cuban chains

The cubic zirconia tennis necklace runs a single line of round brilliants from clasp to clasp, in 3, 4 or 5 mm stones and 20 or 22 inch lengths. For Cuban chains, see the Cuban link collection: a plain polished 18K-plated chain with an iced lock in 8 or 10 mm, a fully iced 10 mm chain, and a 20 mm statement chain. All cubic zirconia on plated or stainless bases.

Everyday plated pieces

The sideways cross and the layered necklace set are the fine, wear-and-forget end of the collection: plated stainless steel and brass, made for layering and for showers.

Choosing a chain length

16 inches sits at the base of the neck. 18 inches rests on the collarbone — the usual choice for a pendant. 20 inches sits just below it. 22 inches drops to the top of the chest, which is where a Cuban chain is usually worn over a t-shirt. 24 inches sits lower still. For layering, keep two inches between chains.

Questions people ask

The two cross pendants and the floating solitaire are VVS1 moissanite on 925 sterling silver. The tennis necklace and the Cuban chains are cubic zirconia on plated or stainless bases. Every product page states which, and we never label cubic zirconia as moissanite.

18 inches is the standard pendant length and rests on the collarbone. 16 inches sits higher at the base of the neck; 20 inches sits just below the collarbone. Our cross pendants come on adjustable 16–18 inch chains so you can choose after it arrives.

Yes — that is what the shorter pendants are for. Keep about two inches between chain lengths so they do not tangle: a 16 inch pendant, an 18 inch solitaire, a 20 or 22 inch chain.

Any plated finish wears eventually. Rhodium over sterling silver and multi-layer 18K gold over stainless steel both last considerably longer than single-dip plating, and can be re-plated. Take pieces off before swimming and keep them away from perfume and chlorine.

A tennis necklace is a single row of stones, each in its own link, that lies flat and fine. A Cuban chain is a run of wide, interlocking links — plain or iced — with far more metal presence. The tennis necklace layers; the Cuban is worn alone.

Yes. Every moissanite piece ships with a GRA certificate for the stone, stating its grade. Our cubic zirconia pieces do not carry a certificate, because cubic zirconia is not a graded gemstone.
