Rings

Three rings doing two very different jobs.

The moissanite pieces — a full eternity band and a marquise-cut solitaire — are set on 925 sterling silver and made to carry the weight of a statement ring. The titanium stacking band is the opposite idea: thin, light and gold-plated, in 2, 4 and 6 mm, made so two or three sit comfortably on the same finger. Sizes run US 4 to 8 depending on the piece.

About this collection

Moissanite rings and a titanium stacking band

Three rings, two jobs. The two moissanite pieces are made to carry the weight of a real ring — an eternity band and a marquise solitaire, both on 925 sterling silver. The third is the opposite idea: a thin gold-plated titanium band made to be stacked, two or three to a finger.

The moissanite eternity band

The eternity band is set with VVS1 moissanite all the way round, so it reads the same from every angle and never needs turning. It comes in three stone widths — 2 mm for a fine band that stacks with an engagement ring, 3 mm as a standalone, 4 mm as a statement — and US sizes 5 to 8. Rhodium plated over sterling silver, with a GRA certificate for the stones.

The marquise solitaire

The marquise-cut ring sets a single elongated stone lengthways on the finger, which visually lengthens the hand. Marquise is the cut that shows moissanite's fire best, because the long facets catch light along their whole length. Gold plated over sterling silver, US sizes 4 to 8.

The titanium stacking band

The stacking band is not moissanite and not silver, and we say so: it is titanium with a mirror-polish 18K gold plating, in 2, 4 and 6 mm. Titanium is lighter than steel or silver, which is why two or three of these sit comfortably on one finger. Waterproof and made for daily wear.

Finding your ring size

If you own a ring that fits the intended finger, measure its inside diameter and match it against a US size chart. If not, wrap a strip of paper around the base of the finger, mark the overlap, and measure. Sizes run a little large in cold weather and small in heat, so measure at the end of the day. Between sizes, go up for wide bands and down for thin ones.

Questions people ask

Yes. At 9.25 on the Mohs scale moissanite is second only to diamond in hardness, so it stands up to daily wear without scratching or clouding. The sterling silver band is plated in rhodium or gold; keep it away from chlorine and perfume to protect the finish.

No. A full eternity band has stones all the way round, so there is no bare metal to cut and rejoin. Measure carefully before ordering — and if you are between sizes, go up. Unworn rings can be exchanged within fourteen days.

2 mm stacks cleanly with an engagement ring and reads as a fine band. 3 mm stands on its own. 4 mm is a statement. Most people buying a first eternity band choose 2 mm or 3 mm.

No. The stacking band is plain titanium with 18K gold plating and no stones. It is in this collection because it is a ring, and its product page says exactly what it is.

Wrap a strip of paper around the base of the finger, mark where it overlaps, and measure the length in millimetres. Compare to a US ring size chart. Measure at the end of the day, when fingers are largest.

Yes. Every moissanite piece ships with a GRA certificate for the stone, stating its grade. Our cubic zirconia pieces do not carry a certificate, because cubic zirconia is not a graded gemstone.
