10mm Iced Miami Cuban Link Chain

A fully iced Miami Cuban link chain, set edge to edge with prong-set cubic zirconia and closed with a pavé box clasp, in your choice of a warm gold tone or a bright silver tone. Every link face is covered, so the chain fires along its whole length as it moves.

How the links are set

A Miami Cuban is a chain of interlocking links that lie flat in a single plane, holding their faces forward instead of rolling as you move. Each link carries neat rows of round stones held in shared prongs — a raised setting that stands the stones slightly proud of the metal, catching light from more angles than flush pavé does. That prong-set construction is what gives this chain its texture: run a thumb across it and you feel the rows.

The closure is a rectangular box clasp, its face densely pavé-set to match the links, with a hidden tongue that clicks home. Worn with the clasp at the back the chain reads as an unbroken loop; turned forward, the clasp passes as one more iced link.

Choosing a finish

The gold tone is the warm classic — it sits naturally beside yellow-gold rings and watches and reads richer against deeper skin tones and dark clothing. The silver tone is a cool, bright finish in the same register as steel watches and white-gold jewellery, the one to choose if the rest of your pieces run silver.

Styling and when to wear it

About the stones

The stones are cubic zirconia, cut as round brilliants and selected for a colourless white grade rather than the grey cast of cheaper stone. Cubic zirconia scores 8 to 8.5 on the Mohs hardness scale, hard enough to hold a crisp polish through everyday wear.

It disperses light more strongly than diamond does, roughly 0.060 against diamond's 0.044, which is why a well-cut cubic zirconia throws bright flashes of colour that catch the eye from across a room. That fire is what makes an iced piece read from a distance.

Care

The plating gives a bright surface that resists tarnishing and keeps its shine with very little effort.

Store your jewellery dry and away from perfume and household cleaners, and a soft polishing cloth will bring the finish straight back. Slipping pieces off before you swim keeps them looking their best.
