Moissanite jewellery, shipped from Ontario
Everything in this collection is moissanite on 925 sterling silver. No cubic zirconia, no plated base metal — those live in their own collections, clearly labelled. Here you will find the tennis bracelet, the Miami Cuban link bracelet, two rings, two pairs of studs and three pendants, all set with VVS1-graded lab-grown moissanite, and all packed and shipped from Ancaster, Ontario.
What moissanite actually is
Moissanite is silicon carbide — a crystal first found in meteorite fragments and now grown in laboratories. It has a refractive index of about 2.65, higher than diamond's 2.42, which is why it throws more coloured fire in daylight. It scores 9.25 on the Mohs hardness scale, second only to diamond, so it does not scratch or cloud with daily wear. It is not a diamond and we never describe it as one. It is a gemstone in its own right, and for jewellery that is worn rather than stored, it is a better one for the money.

Rings. A full eternity band in 2, 3 or 4 mm stones, and a marquise-cut solitaire. US sizes 4 to 8.
Earrings. Round solitaire studs from 3 mm to 8 mm, and a seven-stone flower cluster.
Necklaces. Two cross pendants and a floating solitaire in three stone sizes.

Is moissanite a real gemstone or a fake diamond?
A real gemstone. Moissanite is silicon carbide, a crystal with its own chemistry and optics, grown in a laboratory. It is not a diamond and not an imitation of one — it has more fire than diamond and is nearly as hard. We never describe it as a diamond.
Does moissanite pass a diamond tester?
On a standard thermal tester, usually yes, because moissanite conducts heat similarly to diamond. That is a property of the stone, not a claim that it is a diamond. Electrical testers designed to distinguish moissanite will identify it correctly.
Will moissanite get cloudy or lose its sparkle?
No. Cloudiness in cheap simulants comes from a soft surface that scratches and from coatings that wear. Moissanite is 9.25 on the Mohs scale and has no coating; it stays clear with normal care. Wipe it with a soft cloth and keep it away from perfume and chlorine to protect the metal's plating.
Is all your moissanite jewellery sterling silver?
Yes. Every piece in this collection is 925 sterling silver under a rhodium or gold plating. Our cubic zirconia and stainless steel pieces are in separate collections and are never labelled as moissanite.
What does VVS1 mean?
VVS1 is a clarity grade: very, very slightly included, the second-highest grade on the scale used for diamonds. Applied to moissanite it means the stone is eye-clean and near-flawless under magnification. All the moissanite we sell is graded VVS1.
Does the moissanite come with a certificate?
Yes. Every piece in this collection ships with a GRA certificate for the stone, stating its grade. Keep it with the piece — it is the document that identifies the stone as moissanite if it is ever tested or resold.
