Choosing a size

Sizes are given as wrist ranges. Measure around your wrist with a tape or a strip of paper, just below the wrist bone, and pick the range your measurement falls into. If you are between two ranges, the larger one sits looser and moves more; the smaller sits closer to the wrist.

2 mm or 4 mm

The 2 mm is the quieter of the two and disappears into a stack of other bracelets. The 4 mm reads as a deliberate piece and holds its own worn alone. If you intend to wear two or three bangles together, mixing one 4 mm with a pair of 2 mm gives more definition than three of the same width.

Common questions

Is this real gold? It is real 18K gold, applied as plating over a stainless steel core, rather than solid gold throughout.

Will it turn my skin green? No. Green marks come from copper and brass reacting with skin. This has a stainless steel core and is nickel-free, so there is nothing in it to cause that reaction.

Can I shower or swim in it? Yes. It is waterproof and sweat-proof, and is designed to stay on through showers, the gym and everyday handwashing.

Is it suitable for sensitive skin? Yes. It is nickel-free and 316L stainless steel is widely tolerated, including by people who react to costume jewellery.

Will the gold wear off? Any plated finish wears eventually. The five-layer plating here is meaningfully thicker than single-dip plating, so it lasts considerably longer, but it is not permanent the way solid gold is.

Caring for it

No routine needed for daily wear. If the shine dulls, buff it with a soft dry cloth. Avoid abrasive polishes and cleaners containing bleach, and take it off before using undiluted chlorine or hot tubs — not because it will fail immediately, but because concentrated chemicals shorten the life of any plated finish.
